Tech & Gadget Zone laptops Best Gaming Notebook Dell XPSHello reader, in this article, I will show you some of the Best Gaming Power Notebook for 2010. I know you are probably totally lost as to what laptop to buy or which is the best for your buck & after all  spending a few grand on new gadgets is not child’s play, it involves a lot of serious thought and decision making.  Here are some of the best notebook laptop gaming choices.

Gateway P-7908U | Asus G51 | Acer 5942G | Dell M15x | Asus 3D G51J3D | Acer Aspire 5740D

I have seen a lot of people regretting their choice later on a few months down the road and grumbling that they feel cheated by the shop assistant into buying a particular model. The truth is, the shop assistant himself is not sure on the differences in the various laptops on sale.

New technology catches up faster than your age and you can never be able to buy something to last forever.  But I  can assure you that you if you make a choice correctly, this laptop will last you a long long way. There are 5 factors that you will need to consider when choosing a best gaming laptop or notebook. Take the factors listed below to decide if the laptop is good.

How do you decide if a laptop or notebook is good enough? It is difficult to decide which is the best gaming power notebook or laptop in the market and the numerous notebook computers prices.  With so many choices out there, competitors slug it out amongst themselves to insist that their laptop is the best.

1. Screen Size

A bigger screen means a better gaming experience. It is not a complicated matter. Just ask yourself. Do you think it is more enjoyable to watch on a larger screen or on a smaller screen? The answer is obvious. You should go with 15.6 inch if you intend to carry it around. For those who use laptops as desktops, you can go for 17 inches and above.

2. Screen resolution

The higher the resolution, the better the game graphics will look. It is also a tell tale sign that the laptop comes with a good or high end graphic card or else it will not be able to handle the high resolutions. A high resolution also means higher cost. So if a laptop with a 1,920 X 1,080 resolution is too costly for you to handle. Get a model with a lower resolution like 1,336 X 768.

3. Graphics card

This is the hardware that determines if you will play any games, not your mother. It may be confusing for you to understand which the better video card is. Either, do a google search on the name of the card or simply run the bench mark test to get the score. The current trend for Jan 2010, would be around Nvdia GTX 260M or a HD5650.

4 Audio

Needless to say, good audio is important in entertainment. But I am not a picky audio maniac, therefore my judgment would be simple. As long as I see brand names like Altec Lansing or Dolby digital, I say yes.

5. Design

This is something which I do not really consider, but if you don’t feel comfortable handling the laptop, you will tire out easily or suffer from sores and tired muscles. Look around the chassis to see if there’s any silly design problem. For example, usb ports that is too close to the base. This makes it impossible to hook up mp3 players or broadband dongles.

Use this checklist as a guide when you make your choice for a best gaming power notebook. You can’t go wrong. It also ensures that you do not end up with a outdated machine too soon.
